RefWorks, the citation management software provided by the Ohio University Libraries for all OU faculty, students and staff, recently completed its complete upgrade to version 2.0. While the upgraded interface has been available for some time, until recently, users still had access to the “classic” version.
If you’ve been using the classic version, the new interface will look different, but it does offer some useful new features, such as the ability to:
- organize your references in sub-folders
- drag and drop references to a folder
- easily remove duplicate references from your personal database
- share folders through social media tools
All of this is in addition to an overall improved look and feel of the interface. The video below is an update from RefWorks about the new features as of January 2012.
If you’re not yet a RefWorks user and are looking for a way to keep track of your research and literature, check out our RefWorks page for more information or see this video on how RefWorks can help you get organized. Let us know if you have any questions about using RefWorks or getting started.
If you just need to create a few citations for a paper, there are a number of popular citation building tools you might consider. Or, you can stop by the Reference Desk on the 2nd floor where we have citation manuals for APA, MLA and Chicago style citations.
