Top 100 Children’s Books at Alden Library

Do you remember your parents reading Goodnight Moon to you before bed? How about the joy felt when The Little Engine That Could reached the top of the mountain? Alden Library’s Children’s Collection is a continually growing collection of thousands of children’s book titles from classics like Charlotte’s Web to newer titles such as The Hunger Games. While the collection primarily serves students in the Patton College of Education, it also includes books that are sure to entertain a younger family member or friend, or even you!

Here is a list of “100 Greatest Books for Kids” as compiled by Scholastic Parent & Child magazine and published by USA Today. Each book in the list contains the link to the book’s entry in the ALICE if it is at Alden Library,  or the record for the book in OhioLINK to order from another campus. Check out the list and bring back some memories of childhood!

If you’d like to find another book in the collection not on the list, this video shows you how. This video describes how to order a book from another school in OhioLINK.
