The Irma E. Voigt Collection in Alden Library recently gained attention in an Ohio University Compass story highlighting the work of the university’s first dean of women.
The collection is located in the Robert E. and Jean R. Mahn Center for Archives and Special Collections onthe 5th floor of Alden Library. The archives are articles, letters and photographs reveal Voigt’s influence on Ohio University during her tenure from 1913 to 1949. The article about Voigt and the collection was also featured on the university’s 2013 Founder’s Day website.
The Mahn Center is a source for rare books and Ohio University archives, and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
