![]() Thomas CampbellScottish poet Thomas Campbell (1777-1844) is known for the poem The Pleasures of Hope (1799) and the “patriotic war song” Ye Mariners of England (1800). Campbell also wrote the lyrics for the songs “Hohenlinden,” “Soldier’s Dream,” and “Battle of the Baltic.” |
