William Russell Flint

William Russell Flint (1880-1969), also known as Sir William Russell Flint, was a Scottish artist. Flint was born in Edinburgh, where he lived for most of his early life, attending the Royal Institution School of Art, before moving to London to become a medical illustrator at age 20. His successful life included serving in World War I, being elected Associate of the Royal Academy, serving as president of the Royal Society of Painters in Watercolour, and being knighted in 1947.
