Leigh Hunt

English writer Leigh Hunt (1784-1859), also known as James Henry Leigh Hunt, was the editor of The Examiner and The Reflector.

After writing “articles reflecting on the Prince Regent,” Hunt was sentenced to prison in 1813 for two years. Hunt dabbled in the likes of Byron, Keats, and Shelley. Hunt’s affiliation with Byron stemmed from editing The Liberal from 1822 to 1823.

Hunt’s works include The Story of Rimini, Hero and Leander, Foliage, Captain Sword and Captain Pen, the play A Legend of Florence, and Imagination and Fancy.
