You keep a copy of all the textbooks, right? |
|||||
Sorry, but we don't buy every textbook required for classes, although we may have the one you're looking for in the stacks
or on reserve. Also, you can request textbooks through OhioLINK
if yours isn't available here.
Here are a few tips for finding the textbooks: 1. Do a title search in ALICE , our online library catalog . Make sure you check what edition you need, and whether we have the same one! 2. Check our Course Reserves list to see if your instructor has put your textbook on reserve. You can check reserve materials out at the Alden 4th floor Circulation Desk, unless they are electronic. 3. Click the "Repeat Search in OhioLINK" button (in the upper right-hand corner of a book record in ALICE) if you can't find your textbook at OU, or visit the OhioLINK catalog to request books from other Ohio libraries. 4. Please remember to renew your books before they are overdue. Once an item is overdue, it cannot be renewed and must be returned to the lending library. Please Note: Borrowing your textbooks from the library or through OhioLINK can be a gamble. While in many cases, you may renew OhioLINK books up to 4 times for a period of three weeks each, you may not always be able to count on this length of time. The lending library may place a hold on the item, which will prohibit you from renewing the item. In other words, you may get half-way through the quarter when the lending library recalls the textbooks that you borrowed. So please, borrow your textbooks from OhioLINK at your own risk. |
