How to Search:
- On main page look for "search shortcuts" (upper left part of page) and choose "Major Metro Newspapers "
- Use "Narrow To" and select the exact title.
- Do a traditional search or use the excellent "browse" feature by
clicking the link to the publication title. Allows you to select a date and
browse by section, e.g., financial, metro, editorial,
and many more.

How to Search: Since this database includes several other newspapers, you must specify "Chicago Tribune " as the "Publication Title" in one of the search boxes in order to limit your search results to the Chicago Tribune only.

How to Search:
- For those years not covered by the full text sources listed above, use the Chicago Tribune index (1984 - 1993) to locate the date, sections, and pages of the desired articles. (Note: there is only one year of the index, 1984, which is not covered by one of the online sources listed above.)
- Load the appropriate reels of microfilm on the viewing equipment and browse the microfilm until you find the articles.
- For older articles, you need to determine the approximate date of the story you're seeking, then browse those dates of the microfilms.
