Fine Arts Library
The Frederick & Kazuko Harris Fine Arts Collection includes resources for the study of all aspects of the visual arts, including art and architectural history, theory, criticism, materials, techniques and practice. The collections are particularly strong in the areas of photography/history of photography. In recent years, special focus has been accorded to the arts of Asia thanks primarily to the generous donations of Frederick and Kazuko Harris. Full-time personnel are on duty Sunday through Friday, to provide reference assistance.

The print collection comprises approximately 100,000 books and bound periodicals. All are located on open shelves in the Fine Arts reading area. Books are shelved in General, Reference, Oversize and Limited Access collections.

More than 200 current periodicals are shelved adjacent to the service desk and are available in print, some online. Print collections are arranged according to the Library of Congress classification scheme, except current periodicals, which are shelved by title. A picture file of approximately 10,000 labeled and dry mounted plates is available for circulation.

The Fine Arts Library is located on the 3rd floor of Alden Library. The phone number is (740) 593-2663.
