Building Construction Illustrated

illustrates basic principles of how buildings are built; gives an overview of the major systems and the relationships among them; focuses on residential and light construction situations.

older, British work that covers all aspects of painting technology and decorative finishes; very comprehensive treatment; alphabetic arrangement.

Encyclopedia of Interior Design

includes description and analysis of subjects and individuals related to the history of interiors; individuals include architects, critics, designers and patrons; topics include room types, furniture items, decoration, etc.

Illustrated History of Antiques

Time-Saver Standards for Interior Design and Space Planning

handbook for professionals for planning, design and detailing of interior spaces; contains five sections: planning and design of interior spaces; construction details and finishes; architectural woodwork; specialties (including signage, window treatments, audio-visual systems); and general reference data.
