Finding Articles

Biography Resource Center
Contemporary Photographers and other biographical sources are included in this source, which often includes full-text articles on individual photographers.

Art Abstracts
When looking for information about individual photographers, author searches are generally more productive than subject and/or keyword searches. Art Abstracts indexes relatively few photography journals but is particularly useful for 'cutting edge' work.

BHA: Bibliography of the History of Art
This is the best place to start for the history of photography. When looking for information about individual photographers, search by subject first.

Academic Search Complete
Useful for current photographers. For best results, use the photographer's name as a keyword search.
