Friends of the Libraries of Ohio University

The Friends' organization was formed in 1979 to help fill the gap between external funding and the real cost of providing high-quality collections and services to the university community and beyond.

As a Friend, members enjoy privileges that include:

  • Access to OhioLINK and borrowing rights for more than 20 million volumes in academic libraries across Ohio.
  • Borrowing card privileges for materials in Alden Library.
  • A subscription to Gatherings, our Friends' publication about activities within the Library.

To become a Friend, choose either:

Memberships are $20 for students and seniors; $30, $50, $100, $200, $500, or more for regular members.

Contributions to the Friends are fully tax deductible.
