A semi-annual magazine published to highlight the services, collections and people that make the Libraries the heart of Ohio University.

Annual Gift

Since 1980, the Friends began the tradition of offering an annual gift(s) to Alden Library. To view a list of gifts, click here.

Friends Scholarships for Library Student Assistants

In 1999, the Friends established an endowment fund to recognize the important role student assistants have in the Libraries operations. The scholarships are awarded each April after a committee selects essays from a pre-determined topic.

Membership

The Friends' Board Members, as well as the leadership by the President of each board, have given this organization the strength and drive to promote the library as the heart of the University.

Public Lectures

The Friends sponsor 1-2 public talks, lectures, panels, etc. per quarter-term during the academic year. The talks generally feature faculty members or visitors to campus who make presentations of interest to the campus and the community. They are usually publicized through fliers placed in instructional buildings on campus, brief news articles in the local media, and notices posted to the Libraries' News Blog.
