Presidential Papers and Communications Guide

The following list provides researchers an overview of the major collections of presidential papers and communications available in Alden Library in print, microfilm, microfiche or electronic formats. The Messages and Papers of the Presidents
This was published by the U.S. Bureau of National Literature in the 1890's. It contains letters, speeches, proclamations, and other primary source documents issued by Presidents George Washington through William Howard Taft. There are over 7900 pages in its 10 volumes.
Public Papers of the Presidents This is a 79 volume set totalling over 81,000 pages. It contains documents from Presidents Hoover through Clinton. Franklin D. Roosevelt's papers are compiled after William Clinton.
