Library Collection DevelopmentOrganization The responsibility of developing and maintaining the Ohio University Library’s collections is shared by the over 30 librarians who serve as subject bibliographers to the University’s various academic departments and colleges. The collection activities of the subject bibliographers are overseen by the Assistant Dean for Collection Development, who also has overall responsibility for the collection development policies, budget, and organization. With the Dean of Libraries, the Assistant Dean for Collection Development implements collection development policies and procedures, coordinates interdisciplinary and general collection management, and represents the Libraries in regional, national, and international collection forums. |
