Other parking
The City of Athens has a public parking garage located about two blocks north of the Library, at the intersection of College and East Washington streets. The garage has meters which take only quarters; one quarter pays for 22 minutes of parking. There are also metered spaces on the streets near Alden Library, although it is often difficult to find an empty space when classes are in session. Please note that parking meters on Athens city streets have a two-hour limit. At the end of the two-hour limit, the vehicle must be moved to another parking meter. It is therefore advised to use the City Parking Garage for extended visits to Alden Library. The map below shows the location of Alden Library and the City Parking Garage.
