Individualized Instruction

The Libraries offer a number of ways for individuals to learn about the library on their own or via one-on-one consultation with a librarian.

Virtual Tour

A series of web pages highlighting various collections and service points in the libraries. Each page includes a brief description, contact information, links for further information and to floor plans. You can also navigate using a cross-section of Alden Library.

Self-guided Library Tour

You can download a 6-page Self-guided Tour of Alden Library, which will guide you to the various services and collections in the building. While taking this tour, please don't hesitate to stop at any of the service desks and ask further questions.

Podcast Library Tour

These MP3 files can be loaded to your iPod or other portable music player and they will guide you around Alden Library. The audio files (for the whole library or one floor at a time) are about 16 minutes long, but you should probably allow about half an hour to complete the whole tour.

Go to the Podcast Tour page.
