ILGARD Website (Institute for Local Government Administration and Rural Development) maintains a list of local government and rural development Web sites (browse "Projects" and "Resources" in particular).

The ILGARD Internet_GIS Website has links to several local map servers providing access to plat maps, watershead information, including:

This InfoTree search for "Ohio + Map*" provides a nice browsing list potentially useful resources.

The OhioView Remote Sensing Consortium distributes satellite and other geospatial data from the US Government.

The Ohio State University Department of Geography and The Ohio State University Libraries Map Room have been helpful to Ohio University students and staff.

The Center for Mapping (CFM) is both a NASA Commercial Space Center and an Ohio State University interdisciplinary research center. Check out this site.

Cleveland Cartography (map-related information, northeastern Ohio) is also a good place to start for additional Ohio mapping activities/organizations.
