Equipment Loan

Audio visual equipment may be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis, and availability is limited. Some equipment may be loaned on a limited basis to university-related organizations, workshops, and for administrative and research functions.

There are no charges for use of our equipment if used by University faculty, staff, and students for classroom academic credit instructional use, although we reserves the right to limit quantities. Charges will be assessed to workshops, conferences, research contracts, university-related organizations, student groups, and to all users for services which are not intended solely for direct academic credit classroom use. The Media Library does NOT have computers or laptops available for loan. Laptop computers may be borrowed, for use in Alden Library only, from the Technology Services desk in the Learning Commons.

Duplications

Duplication of audio-visual materials requires three working days to complete. Equipment Services will do only straight copies: no editing, partial tapes, or broken track orders can be accepted. There is a copying charge and a media charge. Patrons may provide their own media to avoid the media charge. All work with the exception of audio cassette to audio cassette is done in real time. We not responsible for the master tapes or its contents.

We will not duplicate any copyrighted material unless patron owns all rights to the material, or has express written permission from the copyright owner.
