International Newspapers on Microfilm

The following is a list of non-U.S. newspapers housed in the Ohio University Library microform collection. There are two pages for U.S. Newspapers, one for the local region and the other for the rest of the country.

Notes:

• The list is geographically arranged, first by country, then by city, then by title. You may wish to use your browser's word searching tool -- find or search -- to locate specific titles.
• These materials will be found on the 1st floor of Alden Library. Unless otherwise stated, these newspapers are on roll-microfilm and arranged by title.
• Current printed subscriptions (no microfilm) are also indicated (*). These titles are generally retained for two years (see below).
• Most recent (current) hard-copy issues are in the Current Periodicals area on the 4th floor. In general the library retains hard-copy newspapers for two years when not replaced by microform. Most of these titles are kept in the Library Annex. Some titles, are kept longer until microfilmed. If ALICE (the Library's online catalog) indicates materials are in the Annex, please inquire at Current Periodicals. However, for titles on this listing marked storage, please inquire at the Service Desk on the First floor.
• For those titles which we are aware, web URL's and indexing information is also provided.
• Interlibrary loan of a few reels of microfilm is possible, but materials are not always available for loan. Users are strongly urged to visit in person.
