WARTIME TRANSLATIONS OF SEIZED JAPANESE DOCUMENTS: ATIS REPORTS, 1942-1946.
The Allied Translator & Interpreter Section read, listened to, and translated every Japanese source of value for headquarters and also prepared summaries and analyses for General Douglas MacArthur's Southwest Pacific Area headquarters. WILBUR H. SIEBERT COLLECTION [microform].
Siebert, Wilbur Henry, 1866-1961. Contains correspondence, notes, manuscripts, student papers, maps, and photographs related to Siebert's three main research topics: American Loyalists, the settlement of Florida, and the Underground Railroad. Research material on the Underground Railroad includes the responses generated by Siebert's seven-question survey and copies and notes from a wide variety of sources: books, diaries, letters, photographs, newspaper articles, biographies and memoirs, state, county, and local histories, annual reports, trial records, U.S. and Canadian census reports, legislation, and Congressional speeches. Siebert also traveled Underground Railroad routes, interviewing agents and former fugitive slaves. He organized his research by state and county, eventually binding his notes in volumes according to the location of the Underground Railroad station or activity. Photographs available online document men and women active in the antislavery movement, homes that were Underground Railroad stations, and slaves who escaped to freedom. E450 .S577x.

This collection includes position papers, pamphlets, and articles from periodicals collected between 1968 and 1974. It is divided into six major sections -- Law/General; Politics; Employment; Special microfilms (Rape/Prison/Prostitution); and Black and Third World Women. WORKING WOMEN IN VICTORIAN BRITAIN, 1850-1910 :
diaries and letters of Arthur J. Munby (1828-1910) and Hannah Cullwick (1833-1909) from Trinity College, Cambridge. Munby was a poet, barrister, and civil servant, but with a passion to seek out, interview working women and describe their circumstances and habits. Hannah Collwick was Munby's wife & servant. This set is a good primary source for woman's studies and working class history, Victorian Britian. 32 reels microfilm and printed guide, HD6135 .M9 1993x.
