As of the Fall of 2011, we are using your Ohio ID (formerly called Oak ID) and Password for almost all of our logins. This is your Ohio University email address and password, e.g.,

  • OHIO ID:
  • PASSWOWRD:  ohiouniversity


  • OHIO ID:
  • PASSWORD:  yourpassword

When you use the Libraries’ website from off-campus to connect to an online resource, you should see a screen that asks for this information. Just fill out and submit the form, and you should be logged in within a few moments.

Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery Logins

The only exception to the use of the Ohio ID and Password is logging in to ILLiad, our Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery service. This login requires the use of the PID number from your Ohio University ID card.

Your PID number is the nine-digit number on your ID card. When logging in, be sure to:

  • Include any leading zeroes, e.g., 000123456
  • Exclude the letter “P” if it appears at the beginning of the PID
