Friends To Hear Talk By Prof. Richard Vedder on the Costs of College
Wednesday, February 9th, 2005Prof. Richard Vedder will speak on Going Broke by Degrees: Why College Costs Too Much on Wednesday, February 16. His talk will be held in the Friends of the Library Room (Alden 319) beginning at 3:30 p.m.
“We are delighted to have Prof. Vedder speak to the Friends,” says Catherine Brown, program chair for the group. “He will provide a thought-provoking perspective on a thorny subject.”
Prof. Vedder joined the Economics Department at Ohio University in 1965. He was named a Distinguished Professor of Economics in 1985. He is the author of six books and more than 100 articles and reviews.
The program will be sponsored by the Friends of the Libraries of Ohio University.
It is free and open to the public. Copies of Vedder’s book will be available for sale at the talk.
