Database Changes
Thursday, June 28th, 2007This month there are several changes in the array of databases that the Libraries provide to the University community.
Academic Search Premier changes to Academic Search Complete
By far the most significant change is the upgrade of our major multidisciplinary database, Academic Search Premier. It has a new name, Academic Search Complete, and much-expanded contents. While the “old” database, Academic Search Premier, covers more than 8100 publications (including 4500 full-text journals, of which 3600 are peer-reviewed), its successor, Academic Search Complete encompasses nearly 11,000 publications (including 5300 full-text journals, of which 4400 are peer-reviewed).
Other Databases:
Several other databases from RLG will be discontinued at the end of June, including:
- English Short Title Catalog: we still do have a free version of the ESTC from the British Library
- Handbook of Latin American Studies: the RLG version has been replaced by two complementary databases from the Library of Congress
- Index to Hispanic Legislation: try the Global Legal Information Network instead
- Inside Information Plus
