Find OUt First:

The Association for Non-Traditional Students in Higher Education is all about adult learners.  You are considered “non-trad”  if you’re older than 18, or have been out in the “real world” or the military before doing college, or are just balancing work, family, life, and college.  Many have jobs, children, mortgages, spouses to consider. Many are commuters, part-timers, and involved in other communities.  Their social lives are less likely to be on campus.  Their focus is more likely to be very serious about college.  And, they have an organization that provides a good website, a listserve, a newslettter, awards, and data.
