MLA (Modern Language Association) style is commonly used in many areas of the arts and humanities. There are several copies of the printed guide to MLA style at the Reference Desk on the 2nd floor of Alden Library (Learning Commons). You can check them out there for use in the library only. Here are several online sources specifically for the MLA style:
- Ohio State University’s guide
- Purdue University (OWL)
- University of Illinois
- Research and Documentation Online (Diana Hacker and Barbara Fister)
You may need to consult several of these sources to find how to cite the source you are working with. If you are doing a large research project you might want to use RefWorks to create and format your list of sources online.
