Research Guides

The best place to start researching on a subject area is to look at one or more Research GuidesĀ for your subject area. The list below covers the broad subject categories. Choose one of them and then look for one or more specific guides for your topic.

These Guides cover both academic disciplines and specific courses offered at the University. They typically contain listings of databases, reference sources, websites, and much more information to help you get started on your project.

Major Research Tools

Part of the ALICE online catalog lists major electronic resources by title and academic discipline. The contents are less inclusive than the LibGuides, but can be a little faster to use.

Subject Librarians

Most librarians serve as Subject Librarians for one or more academic disciplines. They work with faculty to develop the Libraries’ collections and teach classes about how to use library resources. They are also available to meet with faculty and students individually to assist the research process.

Please consult this list of Subject Librarians and feel free to contact them for any kind of help you need in doing your research.
