The purpose of this blog is to promote and enhance public access to Ohio University Libraries’ extensive holdings on Southeast Asia by making full use of all the latest available tools and technologies. Special emphasis will be given to informing students and faculty about new acquisitions on Southeast Asia. In addition to posting a monthly accessions list (citations only), every effort will be made to provide a brief description, and perhaps some analysis, of a few of the more important titles housed in the Southeast Asia Collection. We readily welcome comments, particularly as they relate to new publications (I cannot possibly identify, much less read, every new book on Southeast Asia) or important issues in Southeast Asian Studies. Lastly, I may post an occasional short sketch or reflection on some aspect of Southeast Asian history. For additional information, contact Jeffrey Shane.
