Contains more than 5,000 pages of documentation, including full-text journal articles and scholarly books, on the history of political violence in the 20th century (i.e. genocide, politicide, and democide). This site, created by R. J. Rummel, who has written more than two dozen books and 100 professional articles on the question of collective violence and war, includes a wealth of secondary source materials on the history of democide-cum-genocide in Nazi Germany, the former U.S.S.R., China, Rwanda, Burma, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Indonesia, East Timor, and the Philippines, among others. In addition, it contains several hundred journal articles on the question of conflict resolution.

Beauty and Darkness: Cambodia in Modern History

Provides fairly extensive information on modern Cambodian history, particularly the Pol Pot era. The Beauty and Darkness project was organized by volunteers associated with the Mekong Network. Included in this collection are scholarly and semi-scholarly articles on recent Cambodian history, oral histories from the Democratic Kampuchea period, biographical essays, photographs, and facts and figures related to the study of the Khmer Rouge and the Cambodian Revolution.

Provides online access to searchable databases containing bibliographic citations, full-text articles, English translations of key historical documents, and photographic archives documenting the Cambodian Revolution and the Democratic Kampuchea regime (1975-1979).
The Cambodian Genocide Project, founded and directed by the renowned Genocide Studies Program at the Yale Center for International Studies, has collected and digitized a substantial body of primary and secondary source materials on the history of the Cambodian Revolution and Democratic Kampuchea (DK). Included in this searchable database are a 100,000-page archive of DK's security apparatus, the Santebal, over twenty-thousand biographic and bibliographic records, and well over 6,000 photographs, documents, translations, and maps. In addition, the site includes full-text newspaper articles and essays on the Khmer Rouge genocide tribunal, the historic role of the United States in Cambodia (especially during the years 1975-79), and the state of contemporary Cambodian politics. By virtually any standards, the Cambodian Genocide Project is an impressive resource.

From Slideshow to Genocide: Stories of the Cambodian Holocaust

Provides full-text articles, short historical sketches, photographs, and biographical accounts of the survivors of the Pol Pot era (1975-1979). Andy Carvin, the website's creator, is a Senior Associate at the Benton Foundation in Washington D.C. and a member of the board of directors for the Asia-Pacific Center for Justice and Peace. The texts, written in a semi-scholarly, journalistic style, provide a basic introduction to the history of the Cambodian Revolution.

Included in this collection are full-text articles by noted historians Charnvit Kasetsiri, Thongchai Winichakul, and Nidhi Aeusrivongse, among others. It also includes an extensive collection of rare photographs, a chronology of events, letters and other personal documents related to the history of 6 October. Lastly, 6 Tula 2519 has a Thai-language "electronic blackboard" for posting questions and comments on modern Thai politics.
