Renewing Ohio University Library Materials

You have several options to renew (check out again) most library materials:

• Bring them to either the 4th floor Circulation Desk in Alden Library or to the Music/Dance Library
• Login to Your Library Account online at: https://alice.library.ohiou.edu/patroninfo/

The length of the renewal will be the same as the original loan period. See this Summary Table for more information.

Renewing OhioLINK Materials

You may also renew items borrowed through OhioLINK by logging in to Your Library Account online at: https://alice.library.ohiou.edu/patroninfo/.

You will not be allowed to renew any material that is overdue.

Renewing Interlibrary Loan Materials

To renew items borrowed via Interlibrary Loan, contact the Interlibrary Loan staff at: (740) 593-2690.

Recalling Library Materials

An item that is checked out will nbot be recalled if another copy is available through OhioLINK. Before attempting to recall an item, please check the OhioLINK Library Catalog to see if another copy is available elsewhere in the state. Most ALICE screens have a one-click button which will repeat your search results at the OhioLINK Library Catalog. For more info, see OhioLINK borrowing.

If the item you need is not available through OhioLINK, come to the Circulation Desk and ask them to recall the item for you. Once it has been returned, you will receive an e-mail letting you know that it is ready to be picked up at the Circulation Desk.
