Access and Parking for Persons with Disabilities

Parking near Alden Library

Both the university and city provide handicap parking spaces near Alden Library, as indicated on the map below. A ramp behind Ellis Hall facilitates access to Alden's fourth floor entrance from the College Green.

In addition to the parking spots behind Ellis Hall, two marked handicapped parking spots are available, after 5 p.m. weekdays and any time on weekends, at Alden Library's 2nd floor loading dock. Do not use this parking area during weekdays; use the area behind Ellis Hall instead.

Additional handicapped parking spaces are designated in University lots near Scott Quad and Gordy Hall.

If handicapped spaces are not available, vehicles displaying state-issued handicapped plates, hang-tags and/or placards are honored in any university lot at any time.

• Fourth floor entrance: wheelchair ramp with automatic door opener. Entrance from College Green.
• Second floor entrance: wheelchair ramp with automatic door opener. Entrance from Park Place.
