Faculty Access to Alden Library after Normal Hours

Faculty members have access to all public areas of Alden Library, including the Faculty Commons, during all of the hours that the Learning Commons is open. When the Learning Commons closes, faculty members must exit the building at least fifteen minutes before closing. Procedures are as follows:

• Faculty members present an Ohio University identification card at the Learning Commons desk and sign in on the Faculty Sign-In Register.
• A Learning Commons staff member issues a new pass for each visit. Faculty members may be asked to present this pass to Ohio University police officers, custodians, or other Alden Library staff members.
• Those using the Faculty Commons may also check out a key for the Faculty Commons at the Learning Commons desk.
• Faculty members already in the building when the rest of the floors close come to the Learning Commons desk to sign in and pick up a pass.
• Faculty members sign out when they leave.
