Protests in Guinea

Riots in Kampala, Uganda

The Washington Post reports that  government forces had clashed with rioters in and around Kampala, the capital of Uganda.  Reports say rioters are mostly members of the Buganda ethnic group who have clashed previously with the government over land rights.  The two day violence was caused by anger over political and land issues.  The report says thirteen people have died as of  Friday.
