About this Page
This page contains screencasts that demonstrate business databases and other research resources. The intent of these screencasts is to educate researchers how to use a particular resource. Many of the resources discussed below are subscription databases that may only be accessed by members of the Ohio University academic community. If you are not affiliated with Ohio University, check with your local library about the availability of these resources. Since many of these databases contain proprietary information, the best effort has been made to avoid showing the actual data, while still giving a good demonstration of the product. If you have questions or comments about the content of the screencasts, please contact Chad Boeninger.
What are screencasts?
A screencast is basically a demonstration of a database or software product. Using screencasting software, one can record how to use a database or computer application. The recording can then be saved as a movie or Flash file and shared with others. Screencasts may contain annotations that can enhance the demonstration, and may even contain audio. To view the following screencasts, you will need to have the shockwave player installed on your computer. If you do not have Shockwave, you can get it at the Adobe web site. Screencasts are organized by database and topic below. More will be added to this collection on an as-needed basis.
