About the Business Blog
Welcome to the Ohio University Libraries Business Blog. A blog, or weblog, is typically a news page that is updated frequently. News items appear in reverse chronological order, so the most up-to-date news is always at the top.
The goal of this blog is to more effectively communicate information about library resources in the area of business. The primary audience for this blog will be students of the College of Business who need assistance with their projects, although others might find useful information here as well.
I will be posting hints and tips for finding business information on this site. Most of the information will be project oriented. For example, if I see a pattern in the types of business questions that I receive, I might post suggestions for those common questions here. This should be particularly useful for the business cluster group projects.
Bear in mind, my goal is not to do the work for the students, but rather point them in the right direction. I will post appropriate databases, books, and websites that might be useful in addressing a particular question or project. Also, by no means should this serve as a substitute for talking to your librarian in person, as I am always willing to meet with students. This is simply an avenue for us to extend my reach beyond the walls of the library.
To use the blog, a reader can read the posts in reverse chronological order. The newest items will appear at the top of the page. Users may also browse for information by using the categories links on the right, or they might also browse by title of the most recent posts. The Business Blog is also searchable with the box on the right, and users can browse by date as well. Also, users will be able to post appropriate comments. Because this is a public page, the library reserves the right to edit or delete comments as deemed necessary.
