Two New Electronic Business Books

Wednesday, February 2nd, 2005

The library has just acquired two new electronic books in the area of business. The first is the Encyclopedia of Small Business. The description from the publisher:

“Designed to provide entrepreneurs with how-to information that they can apply to their own business. Contains 600 detailed articles and overviews of all the key information needs of small business owners, including financing, financial planning, business plan creation, market analysis, sales strategy, tax planning, and human resource issues.”

The second is the 2004 edition of the Encyclopedia of American Industries. This has long been a staple in our reference collection and is one of the best and most used resources for overviews of American industries. The older print edition was literally falling apart because it has been used so much.

Both books can be accessed on or off campus, and there is no limitation to the number of concurrent users. Reference books like these should open up a world of information, as the information they contain is no longer bound to the print reference collection. I hope you enjoy them and they help you in your current and future research.
