Victoria Platt, of Williamette Management Associates, gave a presentation at the 2006 SLA conference titled  Tackling the Hard to Find Industries:  Professional Sports Franchises are our Playground. I did not attend the conference, but I can appreciate seeing the slides available online.  The slides offer tips for researching the sports industry and list key resources for finding information.

Ohio County Profiles

Ohio Country Profiles are published by the Office of Strategic Research, which provides “data and analysis on the Economic, Industrial, and Demographic trends of the State of Ohio, its businesses and its people.” The 2005 profiles contain “50,000 facts from over 50 sources.” The profiles can be found by selecting your county on this page. For those students looking for a job, CNN Money has a list of companies with the Most Entry-Level Jobs. Good news for business majors, as the survey found “college seniors who majored in marketing, business, management, accounting, computer science and communication are among the most in demand.”
