I want my HDTV

According to a new Nielsen study, HDTV adoption in the US has more than doubled since July 2007. Thanks to a number of factors, such as falling TV prices and the rise of HD content, nearly one quarter of US households have an HDTV now. A potential factor for why more consumers haven’t taken the plunge yet, however, is still a matter of a chicken and an egg.

OECD Broadband Statistics

“Over the past year, the number of broadband subscribers in the OECD increased 26% from 157 million in December 2005 to 197 million in December 2006. This growth increased broadband penetration rates in the OECD from 13.5 in December 2005 to 16.9 subscriptions per 100 inhabitants one year later.” For more statistics, take a look at the full report.
