Faculty Commons now Open!

Today’s Outlook featured an article about the opening of the Faculty Commons on Alden Library’s 3rd floor. This would also be a space for faculty and graduate students to meet with Bibliographers to discuss research, collection development and instruction needs. I hope to meet with you there!

Newspaper Research Workshop

The library is offering a new workshop titled Newspaper Databases.  This workshop is designed for users who want to know more about about the newspaper databases the library has access to.  Some of the questions answered will be:

How to access the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and other major papers

Ask Students to Crack the Code!

Alden Library is sponsoring the Code Game, activities for students designed to help them get to know the library and campus.  First Year students are especially invited to play, but the game is open to all students.  Prizes of all types will be awarded.  Please urge students to participate!  (The Code Game ends Oct 2)
