NCA Webinar on President Obama’s Health Care Speech

The National Communication Association hosted a webinar analyzing the “rhetorical moment” of President Obama’s recent speech on the health care reform debate (video and transcript of Obama’s speech).

The webinar features Vanessa Beasley, Associate Professor of Communication Studies at Vanderbilt University, Denise Bostdorff, Professor of Communication at the College of Wooster, and Trevor Parry-Giles, Associate Professor of Communication at the University of Maryland.

Description of the webinar from the NCA Webinar Series site:

As the topic of health care dominates the Obama administration’s agenda, NCA brings together a group of panelists to analyze Obama’s most recent rhetoric for health care reform. These experts in presidential rhetoric will participate in an online conversation analyzing and offering insight on President Obama’s speech to a joint session of Congress on Wednesday evening.
