Basic Library Resources and Services
- ALICE: Use ALICE to find out books and movies the library owns and what journals we subscribe to.
- [infotree.library.ohiou.edu/ Info Tree]: Use Info Tree to access all of the library's databases and online resources.
- Ohio Link: When you can't find what you need in ALICE, check Ohio Link by clicking the
button on the right side of the page.
- InterLibrary Loan: Use ILL to request books not available through ALICE or OhioLINK.
- Document Delivery: Use Document Delivery to request PDF copies of journal articles or book chapters under 50 pages. This free service will usually take one to two business days. You can place a request for any article that is not available online through the OU Libraries.
- Ref Works: Ref Works is an online citation management software which can help you keep track of information, create in text citations and build bibliographies. It is available at no charge to all OU faculty, staff and students.

Article Databases
- Communication Abstracts: Covers communication-related articles, reports, papers, and books from a variety of publishers, research institutions and information sources. Does not often include full text of articles; use the

Other Resources
- International Encyclopedia of Communication Online: Useful for background articles on most communication-related topics. Entries include a basic bibliography - this may be a good place to start your research.
- Gale Virtual Reference Library: The Gale Virtual Reference Library contains dictionaries, encyclopedias and other online reference sources that you can search all at once. Another good place to start your research.
- Oxford Reference Online: Search a variety of dictionaries and encyclopedias from Oxford University Press.
