Books in Alden Library are arranged by Library of Congress call number. Call numbers are a series of letters and number that are assigned to a book by librarians to help organize them for easy locating in the stacks. The numbers (and letters) do actually correlate to subject, so if you find a book you like on the shelves, take a look around and you'll find books on similar topics. Below are the general call numbers used for Communication Studies, Journalism, and Media Arts and Studies (Telecommunications).
