Interlibrary Loan

Sometimes Ohio University Library will not own the journal article, conference proceeding, book or other material that you are interested in. The library has an Interlibrary Loan(ILL) service to take care of the majority of these instances for active students, graduate students and faculty of Ohio University. You can request these items through this service and if they are available they will be delivered to you.

  • Books or physical items will be delivered to Alden Library's fourth floor circulation desk.
  • Articles are normally converted to .pdf format and delivered to you electronically.
  • Allow 7-10 days for requested items.
  • You can check the status of requests to ILL by logging into your account.

If an item is not available the service will notify you that this is the case. At this point you should contact Michael Wilson to see what can be done.
