Installation Instructions

To install the toolbar (You must download the file in Firefox. )

  1. Click on this link for latest version of the OU Engineering Toolbar.
  2. Check the Save to Disk button.
  3. Click OK.
  4. In Firefox click on the File tab and choose Open File.
  5. Find the .xpi file that you just downloaded (example: engrbar1.0.11.xpi), highlight it, and click Open.
  6. When the software installer is finished verifying, click Install Now.
  7. Reload Firefox and the toolbar will be installed.

To uninstall the toolbar

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Click Tools and choose Add-ons.
  3. Select the engrbar1.0.11.xpi application.
  4. Select Uninstall.
  5. Close Firefox .

Updates

  1. Once installed updates to the OU Engineering Toolbar should be automatic.
  2. To manually check for new updates follow these steps.
    1. Open Firefox.
    2. Click Tools and choose Add-ons.
    3. Click the "Find Updates" button.
    4. If updates are found click the install updates button.
