This is a collection of resources that will help you locate patents that have been filed with the United States as well as other countries.
Patent Resources
U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
Patents Search - An index to full text of United States patents since 1976, and patent images since 1790.
The Advanced Search function allows you to search using 31 different fields, such as patent number, date , inventor name, inventor city, inventor state, inventor country, claims, classification etc.
Do read the information that applies to plugins without which you will not be able to print out the images.

WikiPatents a public database that allows for public comment on patents. Has PDF downloading, free patent translation into additional languages and additional information and resources
