Fair Use PPR Copyright Info
FACE TO FACE / TEACH ACT / FAIR USE / PPR What are they? CHEAT SHEET
These terms are by no means the legal terms, but merely serve to cover the basic idea involved with each term.
PPR or Pay for Performance Rights in terms of video use, is an area within Acquisitions and Cataloging that we are currently working on defining. Many educational and/or documentary videos will include some iteration of PPR. We are looking to include a field in the ALICE record where the terms of PPR can be defined. This will ultimately help when a patron would like to screen a film outside of a classroom.
