Renew Your Books Online (1:33)
Posted by hagman in Library Services, tags: books, Ohio Link, renew, renew booksThis video will show you how to renew your books online using Your Library Record in ALICE.
Text directions for renewing your books online:
- From the library home page, click the link for Your Library Record
- Enter your full name and PID – the ID number from your OU ID, leaving off the P
- Click on the link listing the number of items checked out to see a full list
- You can use the Sort by Due Date button to see what is due soon. Books can be renewed up to a week before they are due.
- To renew an item, check the box to the left of the title, then click Renew Selected Items. Or, to renew everything at once, click Renew All
- Once you have renewed the item, look at your list again to verify that it has been renewed and to see the new due date.
- The number of times items can be renewed depends on your status as an undergraduate, grad student or faculty member – and on the item. OhioLink books can usually be renewed four times, however the lending school can put a hold on the book, meaning it will have to be returned sooner. If this happens you will be unable to renew the item on this page.
- For more information on borrowing and renewing books, see this library page on borrowing policies.
- For more help, ask an OU Librarian.
