This video will show you how to renew your books online using Your Library Record in ALICE.

Text directions for renewing your books online:

  1. From the library home page, click the link for Your Library Record
  2. Enter your full name and PID – the ID number from your OU ID, leaving off the P
  3. Click on the link listing the number of items checked out to see a full list
  4. You can use the Sort by Due Date button to see what is due soon.  Books can be renewed up to a week before they are due.
  5. To renew an item, check the box to the left of the title, then click Renew Selected Items.  Or, to renew everything at once, click Renew All
  6. Once you have renewed the item, look at your list again to verify that it has been renewed and to see the new due date.
  7. The number of times items can be renewed depends on your status as an undergraduate, grad student or faculty member – and on the item.  OhioLink books can usually be renewed four times, however the lending school can put a hold on the book, meaning it will have to be returned sooner.  If this happens you will be unable to renew the item on this page.
  8. For more information on borrowing and renewing books, see this library page on borrowing policies.
  9. For more help, ask an OU Librarian.
