Ohio State and Ohio University Libraries Shared Reference Services – OHIO University Libraries

Area studies librarians at Ohio University Libraries are now collaborating with colleagues at Ohio State University to share respective expertise to better serve researchers at both institutions.

The new pilot program facilitates the referral of research questions to library experts outside the home institution.  It is designed to assist researchers with investigations that require advanced knowledge, language ability, or specialized library resources to address effectively.

Ohio University Libraries’ will assist Ohio State faculty and students with their research related to Africa, Southeast Asia and the Chinese diaspora.  Ohio State University librarians will help Ohio University faculty and students with their research related to the Middle East, Russia, Eastern European or Slavic Studies. For further information on the pilot program, or to find out if your research question/need is appropriate for referral, please contact:  Jeffrey Ferrier, Curator, Center for International Collections, Ohio University Libraries <ferrier@ohio.edu>.
